Derwent set to shine with improved Metallic collection

Following two decades of eye-catching design and innovation, Derwent has refocussed and modernised its popular Metallic range.

Restyled and expanded to celebrate 20 years of versatility, the collection will include a selection of eight new colours alongside the existing 12 shades, making it the largest collection of professional metallic colouring pencils.

Non-soluble but highly pigmented for maximum effect, the Metallic range shines brightly on all types of paper and blends smoothly for a consistent finish.

Tested over 18 months with experienced artists, the range has been redeveloped to ensure a vivid colour palette, minimal dusting and a soft core that creatives can use on an array of projects and artistic endeavours.

Originally launched in 1999, the metallic pencil collection has continued to be an indispensable artist essential and Derwent has redesigned the product family to feature modern geometric artwork from Mirela Duta.

Whilst the renowned art materials brand has drawn up a range of new colours, desks will be getting a fresh new look too.

Derwent has designed a unique pencil block and ruler in stylish copper to keep artists right on trend both on and off the page.

The modern collection marks Derwent’s commitment to offering a more complete range that covers both artistic and lifestyle requirements.

Nicola Shepherd, Global Marketing Director at Derwent, said: “There was no better way to celebrate the metallic range’s coming-of-age than bringing the full product family into the 21st century.

“We’ve worked with artists to subtly change the formulation to ensure that the range meets creative needs and the addition of accessories allows a consistent feel to any workspace.

“The Metallic range isn’t just for artists; it’s a really fashionable collection for all generations.”

The Derwent Metallic range is available to now from and the accessories will be available from July.
