Following weeks of tough competition and multiple entries from online influencers around the world, National Stationery Week was proud to announce the recipient of its Stationery Blogger of the Year award.
Nickie O’Hara from Blackburn, Lancashire was crowned National Stationery Week Stationery Blogger of the Year 2017 on the awards second anniversary, following in the footsteps of The Desk of Adam.
Nickie, who blogs under the pseudonym I Am Typecast, scooped the prize after being selected by 2016 winner Adam Blaine.
The 45-year-old mum of three was announced as the winner across Twitter following the end of the annual stationery campaign.
I Am Typecast began in 2009 and having first posted about National Stationery Week in 2014, Nickie continued to post about her passions of crafting and nostalgia before collecting the award for her varied, insightful and enjoyable stationery content.
Having received the prize, Nickie said:
“Being announced as National Stationery Week Blogger of the Year 2017 was certainly a surprise and I definitely didn’t expect to win, despite the fact my friends say that they aren’t shocked at all.
“There are many wonderful stationery blogs out there that give me so much inspiration and I’d like to thank them too!”
Adam Blaine, who won the award for his blog Desk of Adam in 2016, was part of the judging panel for the National Stationery Week Stationery Blogger of the Year 2017 prize and said:
“I went back and forth through this year’s nominees but I’m pleased with the panel’s decision to select Nickie O’Hara of I Am Typecast as the recipient of the award.
“Nickie is a well-rounded blogger but her posts about stationery are in depth and well thought out, always informative and inspirational. It’s evident she’s a diehard stationery addict and her passion for putting pen to paper shows through her writing.”
